Event date 2017/05/10
The Scandinavian Academy of Industrial Engineering and Management invites PhD students in industrial engineering and management from all Scandinavian academic institutions to participate in the 1st ScAIEM PhD Student Workshop on April 7, 2017 in Stockholm. The workshop offers students the possibility to present their research and get feedback from fellow students (peer-to-peer). The workshop also provides faculty and PhD students with an opportunity to share knowledge about topics related to the PhD-learning process.
Theoretical and empirical papers in all areas of industrial engineering and management are welcome. The papers can be either well developed or working papers. The submissions can also regard research proposals and research plans for planned studies. Submission of papers written solely by PhD student(s) are particularly encouraged.
The workshop will start at 10.00 and end at 16.30. The workshop will be held at the KTH INDEK department, Sing-Sing building, Lindstedtsvägen 30, 114 28 Stockholm. The workshop format will include PhD student presentations, each followed by opponent presentation and group discussions. All participants will, in addition to active participation in the discussions, be expected to review and provide written feedback on another participant’s paper. An informal optional dinner, at the participants’ own cost, will be arranged at a restaurant in Stockholm after the workshop.
There is no workshop or submission fee. Papers will be selected based on a review by the Program Committee. The submission deadline is March 3, 2017. Please submit your paper in pdf format to marin.jovanovic@indek.kth.se. Authors will be notified of the Program Committee’s decision by March 10, 2017.
